A ninth-grade student named Zubayer, 14, has been killed after losing control of a classmate’s motorcycle in Brahmandanga village in Lohagara upazila, Narail.
The accident happened at about 9am on Saturday.
Zubayer was the son of Hafizur Mollah of Brahmandanga and a ninth-grade student at the local Sammilani Secondary School.
His family and local people said he had borrowed the motorcycle from a classmate. While riding it he lost control at the bend east of Brahmandanga Government Primary School, hit a tree and suffered a head injury.
When he was brought to hospital the duty doctor, Shamim Akter, declared him dead.
The police station’s officer-in-charge, Shariful Islam, said the body would be handed over to the family after legal formalities.
