After a long time, actor Zahid Hasan has worked in a drama written and directed by the filmmaker Muhammad Mostofa Kamal Raj. Their new drama is titled “Pothhara Mon.” Being made around a love story, the drama also features Khairul Basar, Tanjim Saiyara Totini and Dipa Khondokar. Dr Ejazul Islam and Monira Akter Mithu are in other important roles.
The director, Raj, said “Pothhara Mon” was essentially a story of love, the strains of relationships and human emotion, and that the story had been written so that viewers might find some moments of their own lives in the drama. Muhammad Mostofa Kamal Raj last directed Zahid Hasan in a seven-episode serial drama called “Chelemanushi” in 2018, which was aired on Boishakhi TV.
“I am very happy to be able to work with Zahid bhai after a long time. His acting skill has given the drama another dimension. I have also got a wonderful team combining experienced and young artists,” Raj said. Zahid Hasan said: “My experience of working with Raj has always been good. I am working under his direction again after a long time, and this is a joy for me. The story is very sincere. The character I am playing is also quite challenging. The shooting atmosphere is great too.”
The shooting of “Pothhara Mon” has been under way in Uttara, Dhaka, since July 10, and the work will be completed tomorrow, Tuesday (July 14). The story was written by Zakia Hossain Trisha, and the script was prepared by Asad Zaman and the director, Raj. The drama will soon be released on the Cinemawala channel on the digital platform YouTube.
