A two-year-old girl died after receiving an electric shock while playing in Gangnee upazila, Chuadanga, on Wednesday morning (June 24) at around 10am.
The child came into contact with a live electric wire and was electrocuted, the officer-in-charge of Gangnee police station, Mizanur Rahman, confirmed. The girl was taken to a local health facility but could not be saved.
