Many people reach for commercial face washes after coming home from outside, but these products are expensive and often contain various chemicals. Nature provides many ingredients that can be used to make effective face washes at home. Homemade face washes deeply cleanse the skin while helping reduce acne, excess oil, and dullness.

Neem has been used in skin care since ancient times. Neem leaves are highly effective at treating acne, acne scars, dark spots, and blackheads. Those looking to make a natural face wash at home can choose neem as a base ingredient.

Neem and aloe vera face wash

Aloe vera is highly beneficial for the skin, rich in antioxidants and vitamin C. A mixture of neem powder and aloe vera gel helps reduce acne scars, dark spots, and breakouts.

Take one teaspoon of neem powder and two tablespoons of aloe vera gel. Mix them well to form a smooth paste. Wash your face with lukewarm water, then apply the mixture and massage gently. Leave it on for five minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.

Neem and turmeric face wash

Turmeric has antibacterial and antioxidant properties. When used with neem, it helps reduce facial redness and inflammation and restores the skin’s natural glow.

Take two teaspoons of neem powder, one-quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder, and one teaspoon of rose water. Mix the neem and turmeric powders thoroughly, then add a small amount of water to form a smooth paste. Wash your face with lukewarm water, apply the paste, and massage gently. Leave it on for five to six minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Pat your face dry with a clean towel. If you have sensitive skin, always do a patch test before trying any homemade remedy.
