The Maheshpur upazila unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has distributed leaflets as part of a public awareness week on preventing dengue.
With the call “Be aware to protect yourself from dengue, stay safe, stay healthy”, Maheshpur upazila Jamaat distributed leaflets from Maheshpur College Stand at 4pm on Tuesday, 6 October, to raise public awareness about preventing dengue fever.
Md Matiar Rahman, member of parliament for Jhenaidah-3, took part in the awareness activity. Md Ismail Hossain Palash, secretary of the Maheshpur upazila unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, was present.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has called on everyone to raise awareness about preventing dengue fever and is observing a nationwide awareness week from 4 to 10 October 2026. As part of that programme, awareness leaflets were distributed at various places in Maheshpur, including the College Stand. MP Matiar Rahman took part along with upazila Jamaat secretary Ismail Hossain Palash, municipal unit ameer Nawfel Hossain, Abul Kalam Azad, who is secretary of the municipal Jamaat and of the thana Jamaat’s youth wing, and members of the thana working council. Other party office-bearers and people from various walks of life were also present. Members of the public praised Jamaat-e-Islami’s awareness activities.
