Just four months after news of her separation, actress Mousumi Hamid has announced both a second marriage and a pregnancy, surprising colleagues at the Chorki OTT platform’s awards ceremony on Friday by appearing with a baby bump.

Her husband is Abdul Wadud Sajib, who works in digital media and advertising technology. “We’ve been best friends for 14 years,” the actress said. “We had a lot in common, which is why we decided to get married. I ask for everyone’s prayers.”

The news had been kept private. “I came out for the first time specifically to surprise everyone,” Mousumi said. “I knew many of my colleagues would be here.”

She explained why she had kept the marriage quiet. “Many people would have published incorrect reports, which is why I didn’t tell anyone until now,” she said. “Through this event, everyone will learn the news properly. My unborn child and I are doing well. I ask for everyone’s prayers.”

Mousumi previously married playwright Abu Sayyid Rana on January 12, 2024. The couple separated in November 2025, with the divorce confirmed in March this year.

Mousumi began her career through the Lux Superstar competition and has appeared in television dramas, web content, and films. She was most recently seen in the web film “Jinn-er Bachcha,” directed by Mostafizur Noor Imran.
