Former minister and veteran Awami League leader Tofail Ahmed has died.
He died while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in the capital at 3:30 p.m. on Monday (June 1). Hospital authorities and the family confirmed the news to the media. He was 82.
The veteran politician had long suffered from paralysis and other physical ailments. He was admitted to Square Hospital in critical condition on September 28 and had been on life support there.
