Dhaka: Bangladesh’s Madrasa Education Board has extended the deadline for madrasa Class 6 students from 2024, 2025 and 2026 who were left out of registration to pay their fees through the online registration (e-SIF) system.
The board announced the extension in a notice on Tuesday, June 2.
The notice said the deadline was extended on humanitarian grounds and with students’ futures in mind, so that those whose registration was left out for any reason could continue their studies and avoid trouble registering for the next grade.
It said the late fee could be paid and the e-SIF form completed online through the student’s madrasa using the Sonali payment gateway.
Under the new schedule, registration fees with the late fee can be submitted online from June 2 to June 28. The new entry option to upload information will become active only after the fee is recorded in the system. The final date to enter student information in the e-SIF has been set at June 30.
The notice said that during this extended period, only new students’ information could be entered with the late fee. There will be no option to edit or delete information already entered for a student.
For problems related only to paying the registration fee and entering information, the board asked institutions to call 01713-068909 or 0151-6119360 during office hours using the SIM number tied to the institution’s EIIN.
