The funeral prayers and burial of the schoolboy Ishayat Shahriar Apratim, 13, son of Dr Nahida Begum, a teacher in the Bengali department at Cumilla University, have been completed.
He was buried at 11.40am on Sunday (September 20) in the graveyard beside his home in the Kotbari Gandhamati area of ward 24 in Cumilla city.
Apratim’s first funeral prayer was held earlier, at 10.15am, on the Cumilla University campus. His second funeral prayer was then held at 11.15am on the Gandhamati Eidgah ground. Thousands of people took part in the two prayers.
