Education, Primary, and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has said an enormous number of applications were received this time for answer script re-scrutiny. He said: “I looked into it yesterday. From what I learned, it seems like every student wants their answer script re-evaluated. That can’t continue this way. So we’ve decided to introduce a new policy for answer script re-evaluation. We will announce what GPA threshold will qualify for re-evaluation, and what conditions will apply.”

He made the remarks to reporters Monday, August 17, following a forum organized by American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) at the Sheraton Hotel in Dhaka. He further said: “Our prime minister has set aside a 180-day ‘honeymoon period’ so that we can consistently embody his vision and his election agenda across these concepts. Without effective steps, this wouldn’t happen, which is why he set out this 180-day initiative. In this regard, we have developed programs across every area of the education ministry, from primary to tertiary education. For instance, in primary education, his vision included recreation, learning with happiness, sports culture, religious values, and ethical-moral values. He has arranged school uniforms, sports competitions, midday meals at the primary level, and awarded medals to talented teachers. At the secondary level, he has driven the developments needed, from innovation showcases onward. He has addressed the UGC. He has brought 1,200 teachers at the National University into an ICT program. He launched the Prime Minister’s Gold Cup, spoke about a third language, and debate from grade six, with learning finding its place in textbooks.”
