US Vice President JD Vance has alleged that Israel is funding a campaign to derail the ongoing US talks aimed at ending the war with Iran.

In an interview on the popular podcast host Joe Rogan’s show, Vance said: “You are seeing a very secret and heavily funded campaign. Its purpose is to sabotage the US-Iran talks and a possible deal.” Al Jazeera reported.

He further alleged: “A person campaigning for Trump gave money to a group of people. And he himself received money from certain circles of the Israeli government. Those same people are now launching fierce attacks against me.”

There was no immediate response from Israeli officials to Vance’s allegation.

Earlier, a new round of US air strikes caused explosions in several provinces of southern Iran. After strikes at various places in Ahvaz, Khuzestan, Hormozgan and Sistan-Baluchestan provinces, patients were evacuated as an emergency from a children’s cancer hospital in Ahvaz as the security situation deteriorated.

In strikes that continued from late Wednesday night into Thursday’s pre-dawn hours, the sound of one explosion after another was heard in the Ahvaz, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm and Chabahar areas.
