An unidentified man has been killed after being crushed under the wheels of an unknown vehicle on the service lane of the Dhaka-Mawa expressway in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj. The fire service recovered the body from the scene and handed it over to the highway police. The accident happened at about 1:30am in front of the Mawa-bound Nimtala underpass on the expressway. The fire service said a rescue team from Sirajdikhan fire station reached the spot on being informed and saw a man’s body lying in the service lane.
It is thought he died at the scene after being crushed under the wheels of an unknown vehicle.
Firefighters then recovered the body and handed it over to the highway police. The dead man’s name and identity could not be learned immediately.
