Security is one of God’s greatest blessings. From Iran’s big cities to the smallest settlements in its villages and neighbourhoods; from the hard duty of guarding the borders in harsh weather and in mountain and maritime climates to the plains, the forests and the centre of the country: security has been established everywhere through the courage and valour of the devoted and hard-working members of the law enforcement force. The force is one of the strongest pillars of the country’s security.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, said this in a new message for Law Enforcement Week praising the country’s law enforcement force. He also stressed the force’s importance in facing US and Israeli attacks.

Mojtaba Khamenei said the important role of Iran’s law enforcement force in ensuring security had grown in recent years and had shown itself more clearly during various conflicts and wars. In recent years the role of the force in ensuring security, from senior officers and staff down to police stations and outposts, had become stronger. Its influence and role had been especially visible during the second and third imposed wars, he said.

He said the special attention and desperate efforts of the “American-Zionist enemies” to strike the force, from its highest levels to its front-line units, had made the importance of the institution all the clearer. Despite those desperate efforts and malicious blows against the pillars of society’s order and security, which he said had no precedent in history, the brave members of the force had not wavered in the least in doing their duty.
