DINAJPUR — Doctors at the Biral upazila health complex in Dinajpur have delivered twin newborns by cesarean section, the hospital said.
The surgery was carried out on Monday morning, and both the babies and their mothers are in good health, the hospital said.
The procedure was performed by a team of nurses, midwives and medical officers. Assistant professor in the obstetrics and gynecology department Dr. Ahmad Sharif Rusho led the operation.
The arrival of advanced care at an upazila-level government hospital has drawn a positive response from local residents.
Biral upazila health and family planning officer Dr. Partha Jiwomoy Sarker said the newborns and mothers are all healthy and are being monitored regularly.
Family members expressed satisfaction at receiving emergency medical care close to home and thanked hospital authorities.
