What has happened to Palestinians in Gaza, and is still happening, has exceeded every standard of law, morality and humanity, Mirjana Spoljaric, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), has said.
In an interview with The New York Times she expressed deep concern at the continuing violation of international law and humanitarian principles in Gaza.
Asked whether the rules of war had been properly followed in Gaza, Spoljaric said many people are implicated in what happened there and is still happening.
She said Gaza, and what has happened to Palestinians in Gaza, has exceeded every legal, moral and humanitarian standard.
The ICRC president added that the most terrible aspect of the present situation is that people are being deprived of their human dignity.
