Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has said the examinations of 13 July will be held again. Those who could not sit the physics, accounting and logic examinations on 13 July will be able to register and sit them, he said.
The education minister said only students who were absent on 13 July will be able to take part in this examination.
Asked whether those who had done badly would get an opportunity, the education minister said: “No. That is not possible. Those who sat will not have to sit again. There was an error in the question paper, and we are giving everyone marks for that. There is nothing more to say beyond that.”
On 13 July the HSC and equivalent examinations were held in 59 districts of the country (excluding five districts of Chattogram). Holding the examinations that day amid heavy rain and waterlogging caused intense discontent.
Examinees launched protests across the country over this on 14 July. In the face of the students’ movement, the education minister announced that the examinations in three subjects held on 13 July would be taken again.
