A complaint of vandalism of a house and science club has been filed in Lohagara, Narail. The affected family filed the complaint at Lohagara police station on Wednesday afternoon.

The two brothers, Zahidur Rahman and Ohidur Rahman, said their residence and the Shrestha-Shakira Science Club in Lohagara College Para were vandalized on Tuesday afternoon. The tin roof, fencing, and electrical boards were destroyed in what they described as an attempt to seize approximately 9 shotok of land under plot number 354 in Lohagara mouza.

The complaint stated that their ancestral property had not yet been formally divided through a legal partition deed. The accused — Mahmud Alam, Liaqat Hosen Liku, and Tahanur — allegedly attempted to forcibly seize the land using a sales agreement as a pretext and illegally demolished the house and science club, the complaint stated.

The accused Liaqat Hosen Liku denied the allegations, claiming the land belonged to the brothers’ sister, from whom they had purchased it. “They have filed a complaint at the police station despite this,” he said.

Lohagara police station inspector (investigation) Ajit Kumar Roy said police were sent to the scene after receiving the complaint about the land seizure attempt. “Neither party was found at the scene immediately. An investigation will be conducted and legal action taken,” he said.
