Citing Iran, ParsToday reported that the announcement of a deal between Iran and the United States to end the war is being seen in Israel as a bitter blow, leaving Israelis deeply angered and awaiting the release of its draft following the signing on Friday.

Israeli media had earlier reported that Israeli officials were anxious that any deal between the United States and Iran over Lebanon would limit Tel Aviv’s freedom of action.

Israeli analyst Yossi Freiter said that Netanyahu is facing a catastrophic strategic defeat, noting that the details of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding are not known.

Another Israeli analyst, Ben Caspit, wrote that Netanyahu is an architect of failure and that his claim of having saved Israel from destruction at Iran’s hands is one of his countless lies.

On this, Barak Sari also wrote that Netanyahu has suffered the greatest humiliation at Trump’s hands, and Israeli officials say the deal between Washington and Tehran is damaging for Tel Aviv.

Prominent Israeli military analyst Yossi Yehoshua compared the current situation to the 2006 Second Lebanon War, saying Israeli public opinion now faces an unprecedented experience of disillusionment and defeat far deeper than Israel’s earlier crises.
