Actress Sai Pallavi turned to meditation and prayer to prepare for the role of Sita in the much-awaited mythological film “Ramayana.” In her words, it is not an achievement but a blessing. At the film’s trailer launch in New Delhi, India, on Friday, Sai Pallavi said playing a goddess is not easy, and that getting such a role is a rare fortune for an actor.
“I don’t think I chose the role of Mother Sita,” she said. “Rather, I am blessed to have the chance to play this character. It is not a role you can plan and present in your own way.” On her preparation, she said: “I would meditate and pray — Mother Sita, act through me. Let whatever is expressed through me be your will for this film.” She said she tried to keep her thoughts and mental state as pure and positive as possible while acting. “I always tried to keep at least my thoughts as pure as possible and to stay neutral. That helped me present the best version of myself on screen,” she said.
Director Nitesh Tiwari, present at the event, praised Sai Pallavi’s dedication, saying she had worked with great sincerity to bring Sita to life. “Ramayana” will be released in two parts, with the first planned for Diwali 2026 and the second for Diwali 2027. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Ram, Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman, Kannada actor Yash plays Ravana and Sunny Deol plays Hanuman. Rakul Preet Singh appears as Surpanakha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari. Source: Times of India.
