Jamaat-e-Islami chief and lawmaker Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has offered his condolences to the family of Toufiq Ahmad Sparsho, a Bangladeshi student at Shandong University of Technology who was killed in a road accident in China.
He visited the family’s home in the Kachukhet-Bhashantek area of the capital on Friday after Jummah prayers to convey his condolences.
During the visit, he met the dead student’s parents and relatives and expressed his deep condolences and solidarity.
He prayed for the salvation of the soul of the late Toufiq Ahmad Sparsho and urged the grieving family members to bear the loss with patience. He also wished a speedy recovery for the other Bangladeshi student who was injured.
Toufiq Ahmad Sparsho was killed in a road accident in China at around 9 p.m. on May 31, when another Bangladeshi student was injured.
