World University of Bangladesh (WUB) has launched a modern digital archive to further enrich technology-based education and research in higher education. The digital archive, open to the university’s students, teachers and administrative officers, holds a rich collection of academic information and research material.
According to university sources, the digital archive contains more than 3,000 e-books along with various domestic and foreign academic journals, research papers, articles and digital publications. Students, teachers and administrative officers of the university’s various departments can therefore easily use reliable academic information from a single platform.
An important feature of the digital archive is separate user profiles and login facilities. With separate accounts for students, teachers and administrative officers, each can use the service safely and easily according to their own needs.
The university authorities said students will be able to gather the information and references they need for their curriculum, assignments, presentations, projects and research from this platform. At the same time, international-standard journals and research publications will create new opportunities for teachers in teaching, course planning, research and academic supervision.
In addition, administrative officers will have the chance to increase their skills and capacity by using various publications on management, leadership, skills development and professional knowledge.
For users’ convenience, an air-conditioned digital archive room equipped with modern desktop computers has also been set up. There, in a quiet environment, students and teachers can carry out research, information searches and other academic activities.
In the university authorities’ view, the digital archive is not merely a store of information; it reflects the university’s commitment to expanding technology-based education, research and the pursuit of knowledge. Through this initiative, World University of Bangladesh is moving forward with the aim of making higher education more accessible, research more dynamic and knowledge-based education richer.
