Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said Aug. 5 will remain a milestone in Bangladesh’s democratic history and help chart a new path for building the country.
He spoke at the formal opening of the July Uprising Memorial Museum in the capital at about 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Rahman said people in Bangladesh had been subjected to disappearances and killings during what he described as more than a decade and a half of fascist rule.
