DHAKA — The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved nine development projects worth about 36,695.72 crore taka on Wednesday.
The projects were approved at an ECNEC meeting held in the conference room of the Cabinet Division. Prime Minister and ECNEC Chairperson Tarique Rahman chaired the meeting.
Of the projects, three are new, five are revised and the timeline of one has been extended.
The government will provide 36,490.93 crore taka from its own funds, while concerned agencies will contribute 204.79 crore taka from their own financing.
Ministers, state ministers, Planning Commission officials and other senior government representatives attended the meeting.
