The measles outbreak in Bangladesh continues. Seven more children died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours, and 1,031 new suspected and confirmed cases were reported in the same period, according to the health directorate’s latest report released Sunday.

While no children died of laboratory-confirmed measles in the past 24 hours, seven died presenting measles symptoms, the report said.

Since March 15, cumulative suspected measles cases have reached 105,618 nationwide. Of these, 12,632 have been laboratory confirmed. A total of 88,844 patients have been hospitalized, of whom 85,122 have been discharged after treatment, according to health directorate figures.
