Three Bangladeshi citizens were killed and another was seriously injured in a violent clash among co-workers in Linggi, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysian police said.
Police believe the incident occurred Monday afternoon, Aug. 3, at a house in Taman Linggi. Officers detained a 40-year-old Bangladeshi on suspicion of involvement during an operation soon afterward.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said police learned of the incident from local residents at about 4:15 p.m. A team from Linggi police station went to the scene and arrested the suspect, he said.
Information provided by the suspect later led officers to recover two more bodies from Sua Mangis Estate, Ahmad said.
Police found signs of multiple serious injuries on the three people killed but did not release their identities. The injured Bangladeshi was receiving treatment at Rembau Hospital.
Police said everyone involved worked for the same company and lived in the same house. A murder case was opened under Section 302 of Malaysia’s Penal Code, and investigators were working to determine the cause and full circumstances.
