Workshop in Teknaf focuses on children and local community

A workshop on various activities to address the problems of children and the local community was held in Teknaf, organized jointly by World Vision Bangladesh and Bangla-German Sampreeti (BGS). The workshop was held on Monday, June 15, 2026, in the conference room of the Teknaf upazila agriculture office.

With the overall support of Bangla-German Sampreeti (BGS) community development officer Sazia Nasrin, those present included Islamic Foundation Teknaf upazila field supervisor Md. Ashraf Ullah, Bangla-German Sampreeti (BGS) program manager Abdul Hamid, and Radio Naf 99.2 FM senior news editor Saifuddin Mohammad Mamun.

Twenty-five representatives of religious leaders and the local community took part. The workshop highlighted issues in Teknaf including child education, child marriage, child labor, child health, children’s nutrition security and illnesses caused by child malnutrition, among others. An action plan was also drawn up in the presence of all participants.
