Many people drink warm water to lose weight and get rid of belly fat. But does drinking a glass of warm water after waking up really reduce belly fat? Medical science indicates there is no reliable scientific evidence for this idea. The claim that warm water directly melts body fat, or that drinking warm water alone reduces belly fat, is not correct.
Warm water does not directly cause weight loss, but it does have some health benefits. It helps maintain adequate fluid balance in the body. Warm water also helps keep the digestive process somewhat regular and gives a feeling of fullness for longer. As a result, regularly drinking warm water may somewhat reduce the tendency to overeat. Warm water can also soothe the throat and digestive system.
According to Indian public-health expert Dr Abhidipta Hazra, one should not rely on any single food or drink to reduce belly fat. To keep weight under control in the long term, equal importance must be given to four things: a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep and calorie control. Rather than shortcuts, a healthy lifestyle is the lasting solution.
To lose weight, experts advise walking or exercising for at least 30 to 45 minutes every day. Oily and high-calorie foods should be eaten less, and enough water should be drunk. These habits will gradually help reduce excess body fat.
