“Whether you give your heart or not / I will love only you” — with such romantic lines, popular singers Kona and Sajib Das have come to listeners with a new song. Written by Jamal Hossain, “Mon Dao” was recently released on Rangan Music’s YouTube channel, with its tune and music directed by Sajib Das himself. Alangkar Chowdhury features as a model alongside Sajib, and the music video was made by Saikat Reza.
On the song, lyricist Jamal Hossain said: “‘Mon Dao’ is a song of pure love. Love obeys no logic; it is unbound. True love does not wait for a response from the other side — it loves one-sidedly. The appeal of love songs is eternal, and this song will surely stir a lover’s heart. Sajib Das has arranged a lovely tune and music, and Kona and Sajib have sung it beautifully. Saikat Reza’s video and the model are outstanding. I hope the song can move the hearts of viewers and listeners.”
Sajib Das said: “Several of my songs with Kona in TV plays have been well received by listeners, and many wanted our songs outside the plays too. So, thinking of the listeners, I made this song.” Kona and Sajib’s songs “Jodi Monta Churi Kori,” “Tomar Mayay” and “Tomar Hote Chai,” among others, have been well praised.
