Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani has expressed concern over allegations that India is exporting arms and military equipment to Israel. Calling such supplies a stain on humanity and India’s values, he urged the government to stop them immediately.

In a Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind statement posted on X on Sunday, Madani said supplying weapons while knowing they were being used in the indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians, women and children was a criminal act amounting to complicity in genocide.

“This is not only a brazen violation of international law, but also a profound betrayal of humanity and India’s core values,” he said.

A recent investigative report by Amnesty International said several Indian state-owned and private entities supplied significant quantities of weapons, ammunition and military equipment to Israel between October 2023 and November 2025.

Responding to the allegations, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said exports of dual-use goods, which can have both military and civilian applications, were authorized under strict legal and regulatory controls. The ministry said all Indian exports were conducted in accordance with national laws, export-control policies and international obligations.

Madani said India had historically supported the rights and legitimate claims of the Palestinian people. He said professing neutrality while supplying military equipment to Israel was inconsistent with India’s long-standing policy.

He urged the central government to immediately stop exports of arms and military equipment to Israel by both state-owned and private defense companies.
