The popular actress Ashna Habib Bhabna has recently returned home after performing Umrah, as she announced herself on social media, posting several pictures from the Umrah trip. She has now shared on Facebook the story behind the Umrah.

In a post yesterday, Friday, July 24, Bhabna wrote: “Our decision to go for Umrah happened suddenly. Though I am not sure it is right to say suddenly — because my parents always wanted to go. I too have wanted to go over the past three years, but the truth is I was not firm in the decision. I would think of going and then it would not happen. This time, after Eid, I went to Bangkok. Then came my last night in Bangkok, and I was to return to Bangladesh the next day. It was 6 June. I was crying a lot at night and telling Dia (my friend) that I want to go to the house of Allah, as soon as possible. My heart would not settle at all. I felt I would cry a great deal when I went to the house of Allah. On 25 June we all set out to perform Umrah.”

She then wrote: “On Facebook I say only as much as I want to say. I said this because Allah gave me the opportunity to come to His house. From the night of the 6th to the 25th, within a few days, I was able to become Allah’s guest.”

Many people had a lot to say on seeing the actress’s Umrah pictures. To those who criticised her, Bhabna wrote: “You are very worked up about my Umrah (not everyone, some people). Whether my Umrah will count or not? Making nasty comments is nothing new. Those of you who make nasty comments are very few in number. But know this much for certain: if Allah does not will it, can you go to His house?”

In the actress’s words: “Alhamdulillah, Allah loves me very much; Allah loves all His servants. I do not know whether my Umrah has been accepted. I know nothing. But I know this much: Allah exists. Allah sees everything. What is in my heart, what my intention is — Allah understands it all. I will not prove to anyone else who I am. I do not want to prove anything to anyone but my Allah.”

Finally she wrote: “Many may say, why did I post pictures of the Umrah on Facebook. I could not tell you what I felt in every moment in Makkah and Madinah. But those who follow me, those who are positive-minded people, gave me their prayers during this time. That is why I posted the pictures — so that if anyone else is inspired by seeing me, that will be my fulfilment.”
