TEHRAN — Iran has prepared a response to mediators working to end its war with the United States and Israel, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said. Reuters reported, citing sources, that Pakistan drafted the framework of a peace proposal and shared it with both Iran and the United States to end the war.
“The 15-point proposal that the United States sent through the mediators was in no way acceptable to us,” Baghaei told Iran’s state news agency IRNA. “On the one hand, they want to negotiate to end the conflict, and on the other hand, they are issuing ultimatums for attacks.”
“Iran is preparing its response with its own interests in mind. We have said from the beginning what we want. We have not crossed any red lines. Our position remains clear,” Baghaei said.
