Three more children have died of measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, measles or its symptoms were found in 1,034 more people. The Directorate General of Health Services gave the information in its regular measles bulletin on Tuesday (9 June).
According to the directorate, a total of 631 people have died of measles in the country since 15 March — 92 children confirmed to have died of measles and 539 who died with measles symptoms. The number of laboratory-confirmed measles patients since 15 March stands at 9,833, while 66,170 people have been admitted to hospital with symptoms in the same period. The directorate said monitoring of the situation and treatment activities have been strengthened.
