Family terrorized after shroud cloth and threatening note left at doorstep in Natore

A family in Naldanga upazila, Natore, has been left in terror after an unidentified person placed a piece of burial shroud cloth and a threatening note at their doorstep, creating a stir in the area.

The incident occurred at the home of Abdul Gafur in Banshbhag village, Piprur union, on Wednesday (July 1). Family members discovered the shroud cloth and note in front of the house gate early in the morning. Someone had left them there during the night.

The note read: “Reform before it’s too late. You may not get another chance. No one can save you except Allah. Fix yourself before things get worse. May Allah guide you. Stop depending on people and fear Allah.”

Abdul Gafur, Abdul Barik, and other family members said they are living in fear and feel deeply unsafe. They said they have no idea who is behind the threat and have appealed to the administration for help.

Naldanga OC Md. Nure Alam said police are looking into the matter and officers have been dispatched to the scene.
