Around 300 leaders and activists of Jubo Dal have been expelled nationwide on allegations of involvement in activities against party discipline and ideology, said the party’s central committee president, Abdul Monayem Munna. He made the remarks in a written statement at a press conference on contemporary issues in Paltan, in the capital, on Wednesday (July 8).
The Jubo Dal president said: “Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal believes in disciplined and ideological political practice. It does not tolerate any illegal, unethical or terrorist activity. Around 300 leaders and activists have already been expelled nationwide on allegations of involvement in activities against party discipline and ideology.”
He said no individual or group would be allowed to use the organization’s name to carry out illegal activities. Strict policies have been adopted to prevent anyone from tarnishing the organization’s reputation in the future. He further said: “During the July-August uprising, leaders and activists from Jubo Dal’s 82 organizational units nationwide took the ultimate risk with their lives to make the movement succeed. Seventy-eight Jubo Dal leaders and activists were martyred in bringing the movement to its final stage. Hundreds of leaders and activists were disabled, and thousands were left bloodied.”
