MYMENSINGH — A 5-and-a-half-year-old child, Farhan Ahmed, who was injured in a road accident on his way to school in Bhaluka, Mymensingh, died Friday morning while undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

He was seriously injured Thursday morning when a battery-powered auto-rickshaw hit him on the Dhamshur-Mamarishpur road near Halimunnesa Chowdhurani Girls’ School.

According to family and local sources, Farhan Ahmed, son of Liton Ahmed of Dhamshur (North Para) village in the upazila and a play group student at the local Holy Bride Kindergarten, was walking to school with his mother Thursday morning.
