One of the country’s leading industrial groups, Akij Group, has entered the helicopter business for carrying patients and passengers. Akij Aviation Limited, a concern of the Akij Group, has launched a commercial helicopter service for corporate and business travel, tourism and industry, personal journeys and medical services. The company gave the information in a press release today, Saturday.
Through Akij Aviation’s commercial helicopter service, passengers will get the convenience of reaching their destinations quickly, a modern and comfortable travel experience and reliable service, Akij Aviation said.
The press release said Akij Aviation has launched the service initially with three helicopters. One Bell-505 helicopter has been added for carrying patients and two Robinson-66 helicopters for passenger services.
The Akij Aviation authorities said many of the country’s industrialists and businesspeople now use helicopters for quick travel and urgent needs. In addition, demand for helicopters has risen in the country for emergency rescue work in remote areas, carrying critically ill patients, urgent travel, drama and film shooting, visits by political leaders, carrying wedding parties and easing personal travel. Akij Aviation Limited will therefore always be at hand for safe and time-saving journeys in case of special need.
The press release also said a free air ambulance service is running to ensure emergency healthcare for poor and helpless people of the Khulna division. Akij Aviation operates this helicopter service under the supervision of the Ad-din Foundation.
