At least 10 people were killed in a landslide in the southern Philippines on Friday (July 10), triggered by heavy rain from Typhoon Bhavi. With those deaths, the storm’s toll rose to at least 15.
Rodrigo Sosmena, the regional civil defence director, said: ‘Several days of rain caused this landslide in Sarangani province, in Mindanao. Ten people were buried and killed.’
Earlier in the day, another landslide on the island was reported to have killed at least five people. Six others remain missing.
