This year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results may be published around mid-November. Professor Akhtaruzzaman, president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination and chairman of the Dhaka board, disclosed this to the media on Friday, August 21.
He said examinations at eight general education boards have already concluded, while the Chattogram board’s examinations will conclude on September 9. The plan, he said, is to publish results by mid-November, and the education boards are working according to that plan.
This year’s HSC and equivalent examinations began on July 2. A total of 1,270,583 students filled out forms to sit for the exams. This year, all education boards held exams using the same question papers.
Theoretical HSC and equivalent examinations at the eight general education boards concluded on August 8. However, because exams postponed due to flooding were held later, the Chattogram education board’s HSC examinations will conclude on September 9. Examinations in Chattogram, Khagrachhari, Bandarban, Rangamati and Cox’s Bazar districts, under this board, had been postponed from July 8 to July 26.
Meanwhile, a special examination will be held on August 24 for Dhaka education board candidates who could not sit for the HSC exam on July 13 due to severe weather. The exam will be held that day at 10:00 a.m. at Begum Badrunnesa Government Women’s College center in the capital.
