Three children have died with suspected measles symptoms in the country in the past 24 hours. All three deaths occurred in Dhaka division.
The health directorate disclosed the information in a bulletin on Wednesday (July 8).
According to the health directorate, the combined death toll from measles and suspected measles has risen to 745 — 93 from confirmed measles and 652 with suspected measles symptoms.
A further 106 measles cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total confirmed cases to 13,070.
The health directorate also said 796 new suspected measles cases emerged in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of suspected cases to 108,180.
