The government has banned the use of the prime minister’s photograph — including 3D or any other format — on banners, festoons, and billboards prepared for government events. The directive also instructs that promotional materials should prioritize the event’s purpose, message, and subject matter.

The Cabinet Division’s general branch issued the circular on Sunday. Signed by Deputy Secretary Tania Afroz, the circular ordered immediate implementation.

The circular states that banners, festoons, and billboards for government events must give the highest priority to the event’s subject matter and present relevant, appropriate information. Designs must clearly reflect the event’s purpose, message, and content, it said.

The Cabinet Division urged all ministries, departments, agencies, and field-level officials to implement the directive.
