The Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir ran a support program to mark the orientation of first-year students for the 2025-26 academic year. The organization set up a help desk on campus to give new students essential information and guidance.
From Thursday morning, June 18, the help desk on the university campus assisted new students with information on departments, the campus and other matters. The organization also distributed several of its publications among the students.
Mujahidul Islam, secretary of the SUST unit of Chhatra Shibir, said: “New students come to the university from across the country with dreams. We organized this so their start in a new environment is easy and pleasant. We want them to build themselves through a combination of study, research and moral values, and to make the most of university life.”
He also said: “We want to stand beside students at all times, ready to help with any reasonable need or problem. Building a pleasant, safe and study-friendly campus requires everyone’s combined effort.”
