Jamaat chief visits teenager who lost an eye in July procession attack

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Leader of the Opposition Dr Shafiqur Rahman visited a teenager, Alif, who was seriously injured and lost an eye in an attack on the National Citizen Party’s (NCP) “July March” program in Habiganj. He went to see him at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital in Dhaka.

Around 4 p.m. Friday, he asked about Alif’s physical condition and spoke with the doctors.

Alif was seriously injured in the attack on the NCP’s “July March” in Habiganj. After suffering a serious eye injury, he was first treated locally, but when his condition worsened he was admitted to the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital in Dhaka for advanced care. Doctors could not save one of his eyes.
