A cattle trader was killed and three others injured Tuesday afternoon when a Nasimon carrying livestock overturned in Koyra upazila of Khulna, police said.
The accident happened around 2 p.m. in front of Islampur Government Primary School. Mizanur Rahman, the dead man, was the son of Maulana Shamsur Rahman of Khirol village in Amadi union. His 7-year-old son Abdullah and two others were injured. The injured were identified as Atiar Rahman Dhali, 47, and Abul Sana, 60, both from the same village. They are being treated at the Jaigir Mahal Health Complex.
According to local residents and police, Rahman was driving the Nasimon, loaded with cattle, to the livestock market at the Bagali JIB Club field when the vehicle overturned in front of the school. He died at the scene.
Shah Alam, inspector (investigation) at Koyra police station, confirmed the incident.
