The Supreme Court’s Appellate Division has ruled that there are no legal obstacles to the recruitment of head teachers at 32,000 government primary schools, removing a key legal barrier that had stalled the appointment process.

The ruling came on Thursday in a case related to head teacher recruitment. With the legal challenge resolved, the authorities can now proceed with the appointments without further complications.

Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haq Milon had previously said the government had planned to recruit 32,500 head teachers to address a critical shortage, but the recruitment had been blocked by a court stay order. He said the government was working to resolve the issue.
