More than 400 activists from various walks of life have joined Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Sunamganj.
District Jamaat leaders formally welcomed them at an event in the Sunamganj Public Library auditorium at 4pm on Friday, 16 October.
Sunamganj district Jamaat naib-e-amir Advocate Shams Uddin spoke as chief guest.
The event was chaired by Sunamganj municipal Jamaat amir Abdus Sattar Mamun and conducted by secretary Maulana Mizanur Rahman. Other speakers included former district Jamaat amir Vice-Principal Maulana Tofayel Ahmed Khan, district Jamaat tarbiyat secretary Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, municipal Jamaat naib-e-amir Azizul Haque Masuk and Baitulmal secretary Maulana Lutfur Rahman.
