Elections will be held in 1,050 Union Parishads across the country in the first phase, Election Commission (EC) Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said.
He told reporters at the Election Commission Secretariat on Sunday (8 November).
Preparations for the Union Parishad polls are under way, the EC secretary said. Voting will be held in 1,050 unions in the first phase, and unions in sadar upazilas are being given priority for that phase.
