Conspiracies have begun again as in the past, and the conspirators want to suppress the country’s sovereignty, BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said, calling on everyone to stay united to break the fangs of the conspirators, as was done in ’71, on 7 November and in ’24.

He made the call on Saturday afternoon (7 November) at a gathering in front of the BNP central office in Naya Paltan ahead of a rally marking Revolution and Solidarity Day.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said that the sovereignty won in ’71 was undermined and BAKSAL was imposed on the people, and that on 7 November soldiers and the public together defeated that group.

At a quarter to 3pm, Tarique Rahman, son of the late President Ziaur Rahman, the hero of the soldiers and people on 7 November, arrived among hundreds of thousands of people in Naya Paltan, where he was given a warm welcome.

The BNP chairman waved in response to the greetings and then addressed the crowd. The “Sovereignty” rally then set off from in front of the BNP central office, led by Tarique Rahman, with hundreds of thousands of leaders and activists of the BNP and its associate organisations taking part.
