The US embassy in the United Arab Emirates has urged American citizens in the country to exercise heightened vigilance, citing an increased threat of armed attacks by the Houthis, Al Jazeera reported.
In a post on the social media platform X on Saturday, the embassy also said Iran is trying to target US government officials.
The alert said citizens should also be aware of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruption.
Earlier, the US diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia had issued a similar warning to American citizens in that country.
