A meeting of parliament’s business advisory committee is under way. The committee’s fifth meeting began under the chairmanship of Speaker and committee chair Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
The meeting began at about 4pm on Sunday in the cabinet room of the parliament building. Prime Minister and committee member Tarique Rahman has joined it.
Also present are Leader of the Opposition and committee member Dr Md Shafiqur Rahman; committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy; Finance Minister and committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury; Home Minister and committee member Salahuddin Ahmed; Deputy Speaker Barrister Kaiser Kamal; Chief Whip and committee member Nurul Islam Moni; Law Minister and committee member Md Asaduzzaman; committee member ATM Azharul Islam; and Opposition Chief Whip and committee member Md Nahid Islam.
