At least nine Palestinians have been killed in a series of Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip. The attacks hit different parts of the territory from early Sunday morning. Hospital sources said children were among the dead.
An Israeli drone strike killed five people in the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, Al Jazeera reported. Several others were wounded. The Israeli military had declared the area a “humanitarian safe zone” some years ago.
Northern Gaza was also hit. A drone strike in the Rimal area of Gaza City killed three Palestinians, including a child. The Taj Mall in the same area was also targeted.
